Family Relatives initially appears to be incredibly cheap for such as vast database claiming hundreds of millions of records. However when you subscribe you find out that most of those records are simply scanned in pages from books with the records and aren’t digitised records or actual records at all, making the search for the right information almost impossible.
If you’re new to ancestry, this either makes it a cheap and easy way to start, or a very confusing and frustrating experience possibly both.
Our recommendation if you’re just starting out is to try a bigger site or of the more specific sites if youre after niche records such as military ones.
If youve been doing ancestry a while then check out their book list before spending your money would be our advice.
I don’t think some of the above is factually correct as any record that is online is digitised whereas I think you mean transcribed, although having looked at the site they have transcribed, partially transcribed and OCRed some of their records.
A lot of their records do seem to be only viewable from the books directly though.
I too have been sucked in by this gang. Note that there is no way to complain to the company itself. A racket. I clicked on reply to info@familyrelatives.com and my email was rejected. Neville
True very bad search function, can’t even find details you know and enter in search…
don’t waste your time with this site
Not a good site to log in to. I don’t have a problem with passwords but this site always rejects my password.
I too was fooled, there is a problem with their login to site, it keeps rejecting my password.
they don’t respond to their contact us page.

Has familyrelatives.com gone turtle up? Can’t access it.
Website down and appears to have been down for some time?
I think it has drowned in the Atlantic and taken my, and probably others, money with it.
I find it strange that there are not many reports on internet that familyrelatives.com website is down.
familyrelatives.com website has now been down for several months.
